Having been early into LinkedIn I then forgot about it. The last 2 weeks I have been using LinkedIn to track down a bunch of people I worked with at Sun in Australia and New Zealand and have been amazed at how much the system has eveolved. This interview with Christian Mayaud gave me some insight into just how intense the LinkedIn phenomenen has become in some peoples’s working life.

Great interview!!! Christian helped me with a nice phone call when I first started on LinkedIn and now I am the largest network in Michigan at 4300 first tier connections. I learned a good bit on how to think of my network from this podcast and found it interesting. In fact I want to hear it again to make sure I didn’t miss anything. Chris can really get going when he is walking through his subject matter and I certainly want to retain as much of that as possible.

Great guest!! Wonderful to hear someone with both the clarity of vision and the humility and discipline to test the assumptions with data. Smashed some of my erroneous thinking. Great value. Well done.

    Hi Stan:

Thanks for another great interview. Chris did an excellent job of explaining Linked-In history and the concept behind high performance networking. His CAN (currently active network) of Lions are actively studying future networking ideas on Web 3.0 using other tools as well as Linked-In.

Timing is everything. Chris had the foresight to see a great technology and vehicle for advancing venture captial deals. He is one of the early players in Linked-In. Chris’s explanations of how Linked In is and is not a network was very insightful –especially to those of us who are late arrivers to Linked-In. It was very instructive that he used examples from his primary profession as a doctor and sprinkled in his additional role as a venture capitalist. He gave excellent analogies using both professions.

Chris thanks for your tips and ideas!
