Craig’s event-based marketing idea is interesting. seeing a person’s receptivity to a product or service as varying dramatically over time. In data mining we too often think of a person’s characteristics as static or changing slowly over time.

This warrants a second hearing. Selling is fundamental to the very survival of business yet so often we rubbish the role of salespeople. Why?
