Stan:

Your shows just keep getting better and better. What I liked about this one was the topic and perspective from Doug Hughes weaved against his actual presentation at your business event--complete with slide show and powerpoint. It was as-if I attended--putting the visual with the audio.

Doug summed it up well that the trend with these technologies is for "reporting less and doing more".

Doug's final comments were so true about contemplating these changes over wine.....the topic is endless as are the impacts these technologies will have on our future organizations and knowledge management.

Thank you Doug for sharing Oracle's vision!

Stan, you have done a fantastic job at staying abreast of all these trends and causing us (the viewers) to reflect on these myraid technologies. At the same time, what is way cool is the way you are incorporating these technologies in your program.

Hello Stan,
Excellent job !
How exciting this event must have been in Australia.

On TPN, it's a successful and exciting review, featuring a leading CEO.

This also shows how unpredictably and fast, changes are happening in the Web 2.0 world, and how reactive companies (including world-leading companies like Oracle) have to be.

Go ahead Stan, your contribution is essential.

Good luck, and best regards,
Eric (Noumea - New Caledonia)

Hi Stan & Doug - really enjoyed listening. I'm wondering in this brave new world whether the CIO should be the one solely accountable for Web 2.0 and Corporation 2.0 decisions? They have sometimes been the ones that have blocked Facebook etc, sometimes without any consultation with the business.

Doug, you mentioned CRM and "the customer" quite a lot - should a lot of this sit with the Marketing dept of an organisation?

I work in the recruitment strategy and recruitment technology field and I'm not always convinced whether employer branding, talent sourcing strategies etc sits best with HR, Marketing, IT, or a whole new function reporting directly to the CEO and working cross-functionally. You got me thinking whether the same could apply in a broader technology sense.

Hi Stan,

Beautiful, I must say!

Congratulations!!

Doug Hughes has beautifully explained how even Fortune 500 companies are taking Web 2.0 technologies, along with it's propellers (that again includes Social Networkers,i believe), seriously.

And yes, putting the pictures of the event made a great sense.

I must tell you that I eagerly wait for new episode of your podcast and you have a knack of pleasing yor audience.

Thanks Stan bringing out this gr8 episode!

Have a fabulous day!!

Rgds,
Prashant Koli

Hi Stan and Doug,
That must have been a very interesting event which was hosted in Australia.

Ever think about recording the event and putting it up on YouTube.com for individuals like myself (Canadian's) that simply couldn't make it there on time due to time distance constraints?

Also, interesting to learn about the Q&A session between industry suppliers. We refer to Q&A as Industry Panel Discussions. Really interesting to learn about the impacts to technolgies such as Web 2.0. Many customers would agree that less reporting and more action would be appreciated.

Great show. Thanks Stan and Doug.
